Zoey and I have been up since 6am and as evidence of my morning mental state I managed to already publish the title of this blog post which makes me wonder if that means that people can see me writing the actual post. Well, if so- that's exciting!
Let's see... it has been a busy week! First, Zoey and I had a tax exam. This picture actually doesn't do the size of the book justice so I'll need to grab another picture sometime this week.
Then, we got our very first blog award from Tara over at The Snowy Vegan! Thank you Tara, that put a huge smile on my face.

Here is some information about the award:
"This blog invests and believes in PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award."
Here are 8 blogs that I check on regularly and I don't think they have gotten this award yet:
Jess, at Get Sconed
Stephanie, at Vegan Duckling
Liz, at Food Snobbery is my Hobbery
Meagan, at No More Sad Geraniums
Awesome. Vegan. Rad.
Speed Vegan
Ruby Red Vegan
Knits with Carrots
These are all great blogs and worthy of reading even before the sun comes up!
Oh- and why am I up so early?
Well, I am snowed in (at least that is my version of the story). In western Oregon we don't get much snow, so when 6 inches of magical white stuff fell from the sky yesterday, I decided that today would be a good day for all my holiday baking. I am making cookies for my neighbors and Zoey's dad's co-workers. The only thing I haven't figured out yet is how many cookies to make. I got one batch of dough started early and it is chilling now so I suppose I will see how I feel after that.
I have missed blogging and checking up on blogs as often as I would like. Luckily I have a little break from school now and about 4-5 months before I have exams again so I am ready to have my life back!

Thanks so much for the award! That's so sweet of you. Congrats on yours too.
And being snowed in sounds like the perfect excuse for baking.
Congrats on the award! Zoey looks like she's ready to tackle that big book! What a brave kitty! :)
